about

A year ago our longtime bass player and dear friend Tom Stevens died. He was a terrific person, a devoted husband and father, and the best bass player of his generation in Los Angeles.

Wanting to do a song in his honour but, aware of Covid, the Long Ryders were forced to email sound files back-and-forth till we had something we all liked.

This song went from Greg in Los Angeles…the lyrics coming to him in a dream…to Stephen in Virginia, to Ed Stasium near San Diego and then to Sid in London, England. Despite us being in four different locations the Long Ryders feel they came up with something pretty special.
